![]() Both techs asked me to go into the bios to see if "embedded bluetooth" is enabled under advanced menu, and sadly there is no embedded bluetooth to turn on or off. There are no buttons or switches to control the bluetooth other than function-f12 combo, which only turns the wifi on/off. They recommended to replace the laptop/tablet, so I did. I had HP support assist, they could not figure it out. I have tried replacing the driver from intel, from HP support page, and using microsoft updates. I have reviewed the manual and I am aware of the Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7265AN Combo Adapter. It is a big difference, but sadly it makes no difference in terms of the bluetooth not working. Older conversations automatically lock to help avoid that. Other people asked questions on the same thread, which is discouraged here. The HP marketer didn't ghost the OP in that thread, she provided information that assisted the OP. There is an incredibly helpful marketer who tries to help when she can, but this is an IT Pro to IT Pro support forum. This is not an HP forum, and HP does not have support staff here. I may try that boot loader since nvme is so much faster than SATA, but I will be shining away from HP for me and my customers in the future ![]() So, yes I am walking away somewhat displeased and disappointed. HP being as difficult as it is to get set up as a partner, another problem. The HP that had to have one of four authorized Wi-Fi cards and could not be upgraded is a problem. The dead elite book sitting on the shelf back in my office is also a problem. The hoops required to jump through in order to do a fresh install on many of the HPs I’ve worked on is also a problem. HP ghosting people inquiring about the same issue in their forums is a problem.ĭocumentation that says specifically PCIE as primary or secondary storage but not meant ion ing it cannot boot is a problem. You could also try installing a Linux Distro to the M2 storage as that will have all the drivers you are likely to need and if that works then you can carry on trying in Windows. The only criticism you can make is that the description is a little unclear and there are no specific instructions for what you want to do and you can make similar criticisms against many makes and products.Īlso, for instance, I have had laptops that have SD/SDHC card slots that is storage that you can't boot from without the use of PLOP and nothing about it in the laptop description.Īs before, make sure BIOS is latest and there are no hiiden switches in the BIOS as using it as Flash Cache is probably default, even if it has a M2 boot ability. You are trying to use it in a different way than what, I think, was intended and going way of "piste". The Elitebook Series always have good reviews and they meet the needs of most of their users in terms of function and usability. Bit strong to say that your experience on this laptop has put you off HP.
